movin' right along

we are in el paso. it's really beautiful here, despite the ever constant wind! we are at about 3700 ft. elevation, that surprised me as we traveled.   we will head down to 650 ft. elevation as we travel toward san antonio.

 this campground is just on the outside of the city, and not one tree on the grounds!  we do have a view of the mountains, it's so lovely.  the sites are spacious. we spent the day in town yesterday, visiting the el paso museum of history, then just sightseeing.  we parked and just walked all over downtown. so much mexican culture and hospitality. we had lunch at a mexican restaurant....very authentic cooking, it was delicious.

shelby is playing golf this morning, the winds are light so hopefully he gets in a good round.  i stayed home, working on my blog and i may even get some art time in.  if the winds don't pick up to much, i hope to get a good walk in before we leave here.  we will head east to fort stockton tomorrow, staying 2 nights, and will be in san antonio on wednesday. goodbye for now, love and hugs***

stuff happens

this is our last evening in tucson.  it has cooled down from a high of 94 today, the winds are cooler, the sky is gorgeous.  we are staying at a KOA, it is a very nice park. the weather for the first couple of days was very pleasant, with it warming up to mid-90's the last two days.  and it has been so very, very windy....my least favorite weather element.  shelb opted out of golf today, he would have been battling it the whole game.  this wind is causing lots of problems with the big fire in southern arizona.  this area is nice, but we are going to take a close look at scottsdale and mesa, for staying in the winter. 

only malfunction we have had is a leaky toilet, barely noticed it until there were some small droplets of water on the floor.  hairline crack in the shroud of the toilet.  shelby called a mobile RV repair guy, he assessed the problem, called our warranty company, it was covered as we were sure it would be, and installed a new toilet.  took about an hour and a half.  and it's a better toilet. new and improved!! 😂 oh, the joys of RV'ing!!!  

i have to say, mobile repair is soooo awesome! the kid who came out here was so very kind and professional.  he has been doing this line of work since high school, he is probably in his early 40's.  he loves what he does.

we leave for el paso in the morning and stay there until monday.  i believe there is not one tree on the grounds of the KOA where we are staying, but the temps won't be bad, we won't bake!!!

 we arrived in tucson yesterday around 3:30, after a long drive day.  

it went very well.  the weather here is gorgeous...

mid 80's during the day, yet still cool in the evenings.  

today we spent the day doing domestic things.  a few things inside and out of the trailer that needed tweaking, fixing, cleaning, etc. 

 still gotta do the same things in the trailer that we would do at home...laundry, banking, paying bills, etc.  

tomorrow is our exploring day. there is alot to see and do here, so will do as much as we can. 

thursday shelb is playing golf, i might ride along.  depends on how windy it is.  that is one thing about this area...and clear across texas too, i'm sure.  

windy, windy, windy. 

we leave here on friday, then on to el paso for a couple of nights. 

 we are loving the travel, and feel so blessed to be doing what we are doing.  

it certainly is liberating, 

and there is a great sense of freedom

 that i/we have never felt before. 

 lot of good road trip tunes being played,

 reminiscing going on, and talk of future life plans...

you know, all those things you talk about, 

when you are on the road.
